Magazine

Opportunity
The Magazine Minor at the Amsterdam Fashion Institute provides students with the unique opportunity to conceptualize and create a new visual language for the world of fashion. With the help of coaches and input from industry professionals, the students work for four months to actualize this opportunity and create their own magazine. Mint is the new magazine that will become sold national and internationally, over a year.

Over the past six years the Amsterdam Fashion Institute has published their own magazine, which is created in conjunction with a yearbook. In the yearbook, graduates have the opportunity to showcase their work. Both publications are launched by an event, which is held on, the 1st or 2nd of July. On the 25th of June is Fashion Transit, which is organized in the World Fashion Centre of Amsterdam. The magazine product line will also be launched during this period.

The heart of Mint
Mint is an independent magazine that focuses on the relationship that people have with their clothing. It is a playful exploration that seeks to personify fashion and give a voice to the clothing to tell the stories that are woven in.

Fashion to be felt.

The face of Mint
Mint is a magazine that appeals to inquisitive, inspired people. They value authenticity and are attracted to Mint’s honest (but quirky) approach. Although the primary target group of Mint is individuals aged 20-35, the magazine also appeals to those who have a love of fashion and are young at heart.

Purpose
Through contributors’ stories, photographs and mementos, Mint focuses on the connection between the fabric of our lives and the fabric on our backs. Mint makes fashion accessible and alive. Mint magazine is the voice of fabric; we tell the stories behind the clothing.
