Thursday was D-day for the graduates and Mint! The graduates got to show off their designs during the Fashion Transit show in the World Fashion Centre. Mint was present with a beautiful stand, where the magazine was presented to the outside world for the first time. Visitors of Fashion Transit had the honour to be the first to see and buy the magazine.

WOW! WOW! WOW!

The Mint Bike parade was a huge success!!! We sure as heck got the word out about Mint Magazine throughout all of Amsterdam!!!

The evening began swimmingly with a french fry dinner and dress up in the magazine room. Plaid, polka dots, sparkles - our team dropped all their inhibitions and dressed for success. After the excitement upstairs we all worked out way to the parking lot to jazz up our bikes. There were posters, balloons, flowers and every other kitsch item you could possibly imagine.

Our faithful guide Selianthe toured us through the city with just a short stop over in the nine streets to pick up Frank who was looking suave in his plaid pants and lime green shirt. We continued on, passing out flyers, taking photographs and shouting with glee.

Our final stop was Vondelpark where we adjourned for an evening drink, which was well deserved after a solid three hours of biking. Good hustle team!!! The magazine and launch event were well represented.

SUCCESS!!!

After weeks of stress and hard work with the Yearbook group, I’m now squeezing myself into the Experience group. And you know what? Though it’s still full of stress and hard work, I’ve been learning a lot. I also had a chance while working on the yearbook team to liaise with the marketing team making advertisements, which was also exciting.

In the Experience group I work a lot with Lilian taking care of the ticket sales for the event. Last week we set up the stands at AMFI, MIM and Leeuwenburg. This week we’re spreading the word even more because the event is coming up soon! Today is the mint parade. We’re going to give our bikes a quirky make over and ride them around hoping to spread the word around the city. Before the weekend we want to put up tons of posters and flyers in café’s, clubs, schools and shops.

Next week is Fashion Transit, which will be a lot of work and a lot of fun. Then after we move right into the Mint Event. We want to party party! But for now we still have a lot of work to do.

Yessss!!! It’s finally set: Mint will be launched  on Wednesday the 1^st of July 2009 in Pakhuis de Zwijger. This week agreements were made between Janneke (our super duper coach) and Pakhuis de Zwijger.

We also got a new family member in our Experience group: Mitchell.When he was a student at   AMFI he used to organise all the parties and this time he was really excited to work together with our team, and make an absolute crazy and mind blowing final event.

Our dear Femke bought a huge bag of candy that was supposed to be for the picknick outside in the AMFI garden. Unfortunately I (Patricia) could not take my hands of this delicious candy! However, we needed to save some for the activity in the garden.

AMFI Students be prepared this week: you will be surrounded by Quirkiness! So Lil and I started the first activity in school with a lovely picknick. Styled by the lovely and fantastic duo Loek & Stephanie we created some awareness. The picknick was a success and students really liked to hang out and chat about Mint magazine.

The experience group is in  progress and we will keep you posted!

O yeah totally forgot to tell the good news for the ones that love Mint: our Mint plants are still alive!
